Ultrapure Organic Reagents A new line of ultrapure organic re agents, designated Prinz Quality, has been introduced. Anthracene of greater than 99.999% purity is available. The ultrapurity of this compound is con firmed by studies on single crystals grown from the material. The single crystal purity, defined in terms relative to a laser-induced delayed fluorescence phenomenon, is characterized by a 25millisecond triplet exciton lifetime. This anthracene is suitable as a primary standard for applications in microchemistry and for the calibration of analyti cal instruments.
