INSTRUMENTATION: New Nikon Optiphot-Pol and Labophot-Pol Polarizing microscopes. DETAILS: Exclusive Nikon strain-free CF optics deliver images of remarkable con trast, brightness and vivid clarity. The superb optics are complemented by a highly efficient illumination system, massive stand assembly and incredibly accurate rotating stage. The stage is so stable and well-designed that sharp focus is maintained even dur ing manipulation or adjust ment. Once centered, the objectives remain in perfect alignment w i t h o u t drift. Both instruments are extremely simple to operate and require no difficult procedures. They are compatible w i t h any DIN standard compensator, and can be equipped for reflected polarized light.
