THE NITROPARAFFIN DERIVATIVES

A s solvents, the N P ' s present an unusual combination of proper ties. They are medium-boiling, mild-odored, and have strong solvent power for a wide variety of substances, including many coating materials, waxes, resins, g u m s , dyes a n d numerous organic chemicals. They have thoroughly demonstrated their usefulness in the formulation of nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, cellulose triacetate and cellulose acetate butyrate lacquers and adhesives. They have also found use in specialty products based on various vinyl-type resins.
