Ben B. Balsley (1) is a research professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and a Fellow of the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of ColoradoBoulder. His interests include atmospheric and ionospheric dynamics and the development and use of groundbased systems for remote sensing.

John W. Birks (r) is professor of chemistry and biochemistry and a Fellow of the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado-Boulder. His research interests include laboratory studies of chemical reactions important in the atmosphere and the development and field testing of new, miniaturized instruments for measurements of atmospheric species.

Michael L. Jensen is a graduate student at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is working toward a doctorate in aerospace engineering in the field of control systems.
