his book is the first to offer the scientist a concise description of the different roles and uses of Ordered Media ordered media in separation science. The past in Chemical decade has seen rapid Separations advances in the utilization of surfactant normal and reversed micelles, surfactant vesicles, and cyclodextrins in separation science. This volume will introduce you to the different types of ordered media, and familiarize you with their use in various separation science techniques. Just a few of the areas covered include · micellar liquid chromatography · micellar-enhanced ultrafiltration · micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography • extraction of byproducts with reversed micelles · utilization of cyclodextrines as stationary and/or mobil-phase components in chromatography. If you're involved in chromatography, separation science, analytical or micellar chemistry, or bioseparations, you'll find this book the one source of information you must have to keep current in this rapidly expanding area of science. James F. Haw received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in 1982. He is currently an assistant professor in the Depart ment of Chemistry at Texas A&M University. His research interests in clude the development of solid-state NMR instrumentation and its appli cation to problems in heterogeneous catalysis, polymer chemistry, and magnetic materials research.
