Our surfactant is gentle enough for cosmetics
Benax® 2A1 surfactant: that's its name. Its composition: sodium salt of dodecylated diphenyl ether disulfonate. Gives your shampoo or cosmetic preparation surfactancy with low skin and eye irritation properties. Also keeps its high stability, solubility and surfactancy in strong aqueous solutions of acids, bases, salts. Proof: we boiled it for three days in 10% sodium hydroxide, kept it at 90°C. for 1 week in 20% sulfuric acid. Then we stored it a week in 10% chromic acid,
and two months in 20% nitric acid at room temperatures. Finally, we heated it to 250°C. for 24 hours. Result: no loss of surface-active properties. Where will this detergent-wetting agentemulsifier-solubilizer work for you? You decide. It will also solubilize many waterinsoluble compounds (such as phenolics) into aqueous solutions at low pH. Other strong aqueous solutions: for acid pickling, Benax 2A1 speeds up scale removal, provides a foam blanket and
inhibits acid attack on base metal. In alkaline cleaners, it will solubilize other surfactants into such media. Benax 2A1 can be defoamed by solubilizing lowfoaming nonionics that normally would be insoluble in the cleaner. In strong electrolyte solutions: Benax 2A1 is soluble in concentrated phosphate solutions. And it will couple other surfactants into this medium, too.
