Puzzled as to how lignosulfonates fit in with your processes?

included the origin of life on earth, the brain and its role in human values, and the finiteness of the world's resources and the need to plan responsibly for their use and maintenance. The physical scientists were somewhat more philosophical in their sessions, concerning themselves with the values inherent in the scientific method, whether unity in sciences across disciplines and between developed and developing countries is desirable or achievable, and the impact of the new physics on man kind's values. There were no radical new ideas pre sented at the physical sciences sessions, nor were any conclusions reached. Rather, participants had a chance to consider the

broader aspects of the fields they deal with most closely in their work. Although the conference aims only to stimulate free discussion, this year's meeting also produced a statement calling for more international cooperation and freedom in science and for a worldwide search for absolute values and harmony among the sciences. The statement, pre pared by the conference and committee chairmen and applauded by the partici pants as a body, affirms the benefit of science to society as a whole. It also says scientists need to be increasingly mindful of the moral dimension of their work. They have a moral responsibility to share their knowledge and to appreciate the limitations of that knowledge. •
