Racks
The automatic material racks of t h e American Machine and Foundry Co., Xew York, are engineered to supply mate rials a t proper working levels, thereby eliminating lifting of loaded tote boxes. These spring-powered racks hold a visible bank of material and maintain the supply of materials at the proper height for ef ficient production operations. The racks are loaded either directly onto t h e platforms or in trays. T h e rack automatically reaches its proper level, being activated by self-contained springs. The units, mounted on ball-bearing cast ors, can easily be moved from one depart ment t o another.

drums, or' the body, bottom, and inside of. open-head drums in emu operation. It removes rust from hoops, chimes', a n d bungs. Drums move through the m a chine at right angles to body brushes. The machine receives and ejects the drum automatically at a speed of ten drums p e r minute. Regulation for size of drum is automatic. Provision, is made to exhaust dust. T h e machine is powered by one 20-hp. electric motor unci low-pressure airhydraulic control.
