JCE WebWare: Web-Based Learning Aids

William F. Coleman Wellesley College Wellesley, MA 02481

Peer-Reviewed JCE WebWare Connected Chemistry is a Web-based, interactive chemistry simulator that can help improve students’ understanding of the relationship between macro-level concepts and micro-level phenomena. Students using Connected Chemistry see not only the macro-level results of changes they make to variables in chemical systems, but also how the system reacts at the molecular level to these changes. This can lead students to better understand that observed macro-phenomena are the result of the way a chemical system responds at the micro-level.
