The static nature of the book may be changed bycopyinga plate ontoa transparent film and cullingout the repeat pattem.Thestudent is now offered s "Periodic Puzzle" of plastic motifs which is solved by recreating the original drawing. Experience, so far u,ith a variety of students iron\ ten years upwards, has been to indicate that this puzzle is novel, and if they are interested in puzzles, challenging.
