The Model 8300 introduces a new concept in routine gas chromatography. Real time screen graphics Screen graphics display your chromatogram in real time. At the end of the run, you can replot and examine the whole chromatogram, or a section-of it, at different attenuations or screen width. The screen shows instrument status throughout the analysis. In addition, you can develop methods on-screen, with no need for hard copy until complete. Automated Bleed Compensation The Model 8300 introduces an elegant alternative to the conventional dual-column balancing techniques for compensation of stationary phase bleed - A u t o m a t e d Bleed Compensation (ABC). The advantages in time and cost saving are impressive: only a single column is required; set-up time is minimised; and after set-up the temperature programme can be varied without re-calibration.
ABC can even be used to temperature programme with electron capture detection, or to programme capillary columns at near maximum detector sensitivity with negligible baseline shift. Unequalled data handling No other routine GC can match the flexibility and range of data processing options offered by the Model 8300. Digital circuitry makes communication with external computing systems simplicity itself. In addition, the Model 8300's own integral data system can handle the most complex capillary chromatograms with ease. Data can be presented on the screen or transmitted to various external devices, ranging from printer/ plotter to laboratory automation systems. Packed column or dedicated capillary instruments You can choose from two series: the 8310 for packed columns; or the 8320, dedicated for capillary column operation. Each series uses the same basic chromatography unit, including a unique sliding-door oven, designed to give exceptionally easy access to column connections.
