... Only One! System 2000 FT-IR Combining other techniques with FT-IR spectroscopy has been one of the success stories of analytical chemistry during recent years. And it's a trend which is likely to continue, since it provides the potential of valuable information which no individual technique can achieve alone. This trend places new demands on the spectrometers themselves - multiple applications require multiple infrared output beams, each optimized for a specific sampling station. Providing this level of flexibility was just one of the design goals of the Perkin-Elmer System 2000, beginning a new generation of Open Architecture FT-IR.
•
Open sampling architecture Up to four equivalent output beams, allows any combination of sampling stations to be fitted and upgraded or reconfigured as future requirements change.

•
Open optical architecture Software-controlled multiple sources, detectors and interchangeable beamspliters cover the entire Near, Mid and Far-IR ranges.
•
Open data system Transputer® parallel-processor technology provides workstation performance for data transfer (10 Mbits/s) and processing (80 MIPS) - on an industry-
