PLANT PROFITS UP $77,000 AFTER CHEMICAL CLEANING

DOWELL method of cleaning lines and process equipment cut plant turn-around time 22 days

Dowell was called to remove scale from pipe lines and process equipment in a plant where the semi-annual t u r n around usually meant long, costly downtime- Dowell engineers used liquid solvents to do t h e job. It was not necessary to dismantle the equipment as t h e chemicals were introduced through regular connections. T h e job was d o n e in far less time than ever before. In fact, outage time for the year was reduced 22 days, representing an estimated $77,000 additional profit to the p l a n t . As a result, Dowell Service

was made a regular part of t h e plant's turn-around maintenance program. The Dowell method of preventive maintenance cleaning with chemicals has helped to avoid the replacement of many miles of water and process lines and thousands of dollars worth of plant equipment. Chemical cleaning often uncovers weak points and helps to avoid later failures. For complete details, call the nearest Dowell office. Or.write DOWELL INCORPORATED, Tulsa 1, Okla., Dept. A-30.
