FOR Y O U
You see nothing but sailboats in clear water? That's the point; our detergents are i biodegradable; Actually, soft surfactants are nothing new here at Nopco (see below for some of the "old hands"). But we have recently developed a new Hyonic® series—and it includes surfactants that detergent compounders require in quantity: • Hyonic LR-600—polyethoxylated straight chain alcohol • Hyonic JL-570—polyethoxylated straight chain alcohol • Hyonic LP-90—polyethoxylated linear alkyl phenol
• Hyonic JN-400S—sulfated polyethoxylated straight chain alcohol, sodium salt • Hyonic JN-400SA—sulfated polyethoxylated straight chain alcohol, ammonium salt Whatever your formula calls for—low foaming, high foaming, good wetting properties, superior emulsification —you will find precisely the detergent you need in this new series.
Hyonic LA Series and Hyonic FA Series: completely biodegradable alkylolamides In addition to our new detergents, we offer a complete line of other biodegradable specialty surfactants. Use our Hyonic LA Series of Hy-Purity Alkylolamides to make dishwashing detergents or shampoos. They build foam and they stabilize it. They boost the viscosity of conventional surfactants. And, when their work is done, the foam disappears—permanently. Use our Hyonic FA Series for liquid janitorial and household cleaners. Valued chiefly for their thickening properties, these fatty alkylolamide surfactants can do the job alone or they can be blended with other detergents to achieve synergistic effects. They provide excellent allpurpose detergency . . . thick, rich foaming action . . . and, in the end, total foam breakdown.
Sulfated Oils and Polyethylene Glycol Esters: biodegradable specialty surfactants And, we might add, biodegradability is about all they do have in common with the Hyonics. For these two classes of surfactants are not confined to the "washing world," but, in fact, find ready application in a multitude of industries. Sulfated oils owe their broad utility chiefly to the fact that they are true oils, yet are dispersible in water. Our Nopcosulfs are used as defoamers, emulsifiers, scouring agents, softeners, and fatliquors in the manufacture of glue, leather, textiles, paper, paints, and cosmetics. Our Nopalcol® Polyethylene Glycol Esters are 100% active, completely free of inorganic salts and organic sulfonates or sulfates. Outstanding for their surface activity and dispersibility in mediums containing highly concentrated dissolved solids, Nopalcols are used as defoamers in distillation and fermentation, dry-cleaning agents, insecticide dispersants, starch viscosity reducers, and dyestuff levellers, to name only a few.
