T h e p u r p o s e of this m e e t i n g w a s to a l l o w chemists a n d p h y s i c i s t s to i n t e r a c t o n a b r o a d r a n g e of subjects, m o s t of w h i c h w o u l d p e r f o r c e b e d i s t i n c t f r o m the area of r e s e a r c h of a n y one p a r t i c i p a n t .
