SPARGER N O Z Z L E S A S S U R E U N I F O R M T A N K H E A T I N G , REDUCE N O I S E SK Sparger Nozzles, installed near the bottom of tanks containing liquids, provide uniform heat, constant agitation, and quiet operation. Steam, issuing through the nozzle, entrains tank liquid. The two are mixed intimately in the venturi and the water absorbs the heat of the steam. The agitating action of the jet prevents stratification—uniform temperatures are maintained through out the tank. Sparger Nozzles are ideal for large, shallow tank areas, or for use where steam pressures are low, or where solids in the liquid might tend to clog the small passages in other type heaters. Details: Request Bulletin 3A.
PAPER MAKERS CALL ON SK TO RECLAIM HEAT FROM STEAM Two pieces of SK equipment are used by a paper manufacturer to reclaim "waste" heat from blow steam. A bottom inlet direct-contact counter-current heater takes the steam and brings it into intimate contact with cold water. All of the heat of the steam is absorbed by the water. At the same time, a SK Steam Jet Exhauster is used to pull a draft from the heater and prevent leakage into operating areas. Details: Exhauster Bulletin 4E. Heaters—Bulletin 3A-HC.
L I Q U I D A N D P O W D E R BECOME " R E A D Y - M I X " I N S K EDUCTOR Dry powder and liquid can be instantly, thoroughly mixed while being fed to kettle or other receptacles. The SK Eductor will utilize the pressure of the liquid to entrain the powder, intimately mix the two in its venturi, and dis charge to the tank. Mixture is homogeneous, and there's no lost time, no lost motion, no moving parts. Details: Request Bulletin 2M.
