T h o m a s Co. is offering a new device for connecting rubber t u b i n g to glass t u b i n g safely, quickly, a n d without use of a lubricant. T h e rubber tubing expander consists of three parallel tines, t h e tips of which are simultaneously diverged b y a system of levers when the handles are pressed. T h e tines are inserted into t h e end of

rubber t u b i n g which is t h e n spread open b y squeezing t h e handles. Glass t u b i n g is guided between a n d slightly beyond t h e end of t h e tines. T h e tines are unlocked b y pulling a trigger a n d can be removed without dislodging t h e glass t u b i n g b y repeating pressure on t h e handles.
