Reach for your R&D ideas on triphenylboron. Now DuPont can supply all you need. B(C6H5)3

Both catalyst and intermediate, this versatile Lewis acid is available for the first time in commercial quantities. Now you can commercialize those promising R&D applications for triphenylboron, because at last you can get it in quantity! Du Pont is ready now to supply as much as you need-when and where you need it. So take another look at those commercial ideas for this monofunctional Lewis acid. As a catalyst, triphenylboron can form catalytic complexes which may offer opportunities for new syntheses. It can act as a precursor to certain biologically active organoboron compounds and flame retardants. Also, it may be useful in the preparation of boroncontaining compounds for biomedical applications. DuPont triphenylboron also shows potential as a mild phenylating agent for alternate routes to other important intermediates, such as phenylaluminums. We supply triphenylboron as a stable, easily transported aqueous sodium hydroxide adduct solution. Also commercially available-triisopropylborate. This boric acid ester from Du Pont has potential for use in lubricants, olefin polymerization catalysts, biologically active agents and polymer additives.
