In Table 1, hexane is identified as being totally miscible with [bmim][PF6]. This is incorrect. The solubility of hexane in [bmim][PF6] is actually quite low, on the order of 1 × 10-3 mole fraction. The extraction result for hexane (in Figure 3) is also incorrect because it is not possible to accurately measure the extraction of a compound whose solubility is so low. Page 289. In Table 1, chlorobenzene is incorrectly identified as a solid (s). It is a liquid at room temperature because its normal melting point is -45 °C.
