Proposed new approach is applied to proper equilibrium data and to published inconsistent data for the system. Data show that the xenon arc produces a faster stiffening than carbon, with one exception. T h e xenon arc also requires less exposure time for physical degradation of plasticized PVC.

Thermal Equalization for High Temperature Tube Exits. Applies the solution of Siege1 et al. to determine the distance necessary for equalization of wall and bulk temperatures in the adiabatic exit of gas from a strongly heated circular tube. Effect of property variation is discussed.
Investigations on Turbulent Combustion. An effort to provide a general analytical approach to the phenomenon of flame propagation in flow and establish a unified model of the mechanism of turbulent combustion as a tool for computing burning speed in any velocity range of turbulent streams.

A Kinetic and Anchovy oil has been Optimization Model. epoxidized in situ with preformed peracetic acid or with a mixed strategy to determine a kinetic model of the reaction and optimization of double bond conversion to oxirane rings. Mixed strategy allows a 92.2Oj, conversion with final oxirane number 8.5 and iodine value 19.4.

Some Relations for Vapor-liquid Equilibria and Critical Mixtures. Values of several derivatives for the critical point and the critical condensation point of a mixture are discussed. T h e relations noted may be useful in calculations for retrograde condensation, frequently occurring in deep oil ivells.
Kinetics in Gas-liquid Reaction Systems. Hydrochlorination of Octyl and Dodecyl Alcohols. Hydrochlorination kinetics in the homogeneous phase correspond to rate equations based on a n S N reaction ~ mechanism. A simple film theory model interprets results in the heterogeneous system, liith mass transfer coefficients, interphase area, and effectiveness factors determined from the data.
