The first sentence of the section titled “Pre-equilibration of the Sorbent Layer” is incomplete and refers to ref 4. The correct reference is ref 13, which is not in the original report. The correct references are below. The incorrect sentence should be replaced with the following: Dzido et al.13 have reported that chromatographic efficiency is increased when the plate is pre-equilibrated with the mobile phase for 18 h before PEC. Dzido et al.4 have also reported that reproducibility is improved when the sorbent layer is preequilibrated with the mobile phase and the pre-equilibrated liquid is then used as the run buffer in PPEC. Retention increases when pre-equilibration is increased from 3 s to 1 min, but there is no further increase in retention with longer periods of pre-equilibration. (4) Dzido, T.
