Our new HPLC Columns ore well pocked! Guaranteed peak symmetry and minimum plates per meter doubly assure you of optimum column performance. A completely new line of "stateof the-art" packed columns for high pressure liquid chromatography is now available in the U.S. and Canada from Rheodyne. All columns are 4.6 mm ID χ 25 cm long. Each column is tested and supplied with its own chromatogram. Currently six columns are available over a price range of $180 to $240. This high-pressure liquid chromatograph uses a new type of three-rotor piston pump that delivers greatly reduced, nearly pulse-free, continuous liquid stream volumes. The new pumping system is called Tri Rotar. Because of its unique design, one single pump can be used for gradient work which usually requires two pump systems of the conventional type. Typical pump outputs range from 0.1 to 9.9 mL/min in 0.1-mL/min steps with a flow accuracy of 1 %. Operation is at 7100 psig with automatic overpressure cutoff. The combined gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer system features a quadrupole mass spectrometer that can be linked with any type of gas chromatograph. The mass spectrometer system is made up of completely digitized, binary-coded functional units and is designed for connection to a computer. An open coupler is used for connection to chromatographic columns. Gas chromatograms can be recorded simultaneously and independently of each other. A detector and filter permit independent measurement of the total ion flow and mass spectrum out of one specimen stream, thus permitting unique correlation without loss in information. All setting parameters for the control console, the internal memory, and the external process computer are jointly transmitted via an information bus.
