Rohm and Haas t-Alkylamines... a growing, productive family The Rohm and Haas family of t-alkylamines and their derivatives has expanded to include these members : t-Alkyl primary amines—Significant features: amino nitrogen attached to a tertiary carbon atom ; excellent oil solubility, and ability to impart oil solubility to other molecules. Application possibilities: oil additives, corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, agricultural chemicals, coatings, bactericides, textile chemicals.
Menthane Diamine — Excellent curing agent for epoxy resins. t-Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate, t-Butylaminoethanol, t-Butyldiethanolamine—Useful for making polymers having pendant amine groups. Neutralizing the amine groups with acid can make the polymer water soluble. Suggested uses: coatings, textile finishes, fibers, flexibleor rigid foams. t-Alkylformamides — High-boiling, free-flowing liquids, useful as reaction solvents, petroleum additives, textile chemicals.
Priminox polyethoxy amines— Derivatives of ethylene oxide and t-alkylamines, useful as cationic surfactants at low pH, as nonionic surfactants at high pH. We'll gladly furnish samples of any of the products shown in the illustration above—and technical literature. Write to Dept. SP-34.
