PRIMARY AMINE SELECTED FOR THE NAVY'S NEW
CORROSION PREVENTATIVE THE TOUGH REQUIREMENTS 1 . When the compound is applied to a piece of metal it must form a continuous wax-like coating. 2. The coating must resist immersion in both salt and fresh water and be impervious to airborne moisture. 3 . The coating must have a latent thixotropy so that under the heat or pressure of use it transforms instantly into a fully liquid lubricant and then resumes its wax-like protection after use. 4 . The coating must be able to resist the abrasion of handling of small a/ms and equipment under field conditions.
