Introducing the Model 5 6 0 E S C A / S A M . A complete surface chemistry laboratory.

Most analytical and research laboratories face a wide range of surface chemistry problems, so multiple surface analysis tech niques are needed to do the job. That's why PHI®designed the new Model 560 ESCA/SAM for opti mum, computerized ESCA and SAM performance. Each tech nique offers unique advantages for different types of samples. Used together, they provide a more detailed analysis and a higher probability of getting the correct answer to a problem. PHI's new SIMS Π accessory can also be added to the Model 560. Software for the integral computer system covers all of these tech niques practically and efficiently. Features include: Maximum Sample Throughput A sample introduction system, combined with the integral c o m puter system, ensures the highest

sample throughput and lowest cost per sample. High ESCA Count Rates A new, high flux, dual anode x-ray source in combination with a cylindrical-mirror analyzer pro vides higher count rates for excel lent ESCA sensitivity. Improved S A M Performance Redesigned coaxial electron gun provides beam diameters below 2μιτι for improved SAM resolution and SEM imaging.
