THE
SARGENT ELECTRIC DRYING OVEN
T h e Sargent electric d r y i n g oven was designei to fill the need of chemists for a dependable low-cost, automatically controlled oven wit] a long service life. T h a t it has achieved thi objective is evidenced by the fact that thou sands of these ovens are n o w in use in labo ratories all over the world. THE MULTIPLE CHROMEL WIRE HEATING ELEMENTS are arranged to give even heat distribution t h r o u g h o u t the entire oven. THE VENTILATING SYSTEM provides rapid transfer of air t h r o u g h the oven, w h i c h results in an exceptionally fast d r y i n g rate. THE METAL WALLS are lined w i t h 14" T r a n s i t e , to prevent excessive heat loss and the bimetallic thermostat maintains the heat in the oven to w i t h i n ± 1 ° C. of the desired temperature. THE OPERATING RANGE is from slightly above room temperature to 200° C. (392° F.). ALL CONTROLS—the three heat switch—the thermostat control and the pilot light—are located o n the front panel w h i c h is actually the front of a drawer on w h i c h the heating elements are m o u n t e d . By removing two screws at each end of the panel the entire h e a t i n g and control systems can be removed from the oven as a single unit. MAXIMUM POWER CONSUMPTION 850 watts.
