As you know, a t o r n a d o generates t r e m e n d o u s forces. So do spinning rotors in IEC centrifuges . . . up to 34,575 times gravity with some models. Recently, IEC has i n t r o d u c e d the two b r a n d new floor models p i c t u r e d . Model CU-5000 is a general-purpose t y p e ; Model CRU-5000, a refrigerated type. Both have speeds up to 6000 r p m , a relative centrifugal f o r c e of 5090 G's, and a volume of 4x1000 ml. Both feature solid state e l e c t r o n i c s t h r o u g h o u t and safety-cover interlock. A n d both will a c c e p t all standard accessories f r o m previous IEC models. They're c o m p a c t (only 2 5 " wide), portable, and moderately p r i c e d .

lEC's line-up includes a variety of other models ranging from the Whisperfuge, a table-top c e n t r i fuge c o s t i n g under $250.00 . . . to the PR-6000, a highly sophisticated refrigerated floor model p r i c e d at $3,900.00. Please ask us for details.
