Simplified Temperature Conversion This simple procedure of temperature conversion requires little arithmetic and can usually he done without resorting to pencil and paper. To convert Centigrade to Fahrenheit: (1) Multiply the *C by 2; (2) Subtract Vioth; (3) Add 32. For example: Convert 32° to OF. (1) 32 X 2 = 64; (2) 64 - 6 = 58; (3) 58 32 = 90°F The reverse process is more difficultbut is easily mastered. To convert Fahrenheit to Centigrade: (1) Subtract 32; (2) Add ' / ~ t h ; (3) Divide by 2. For example: Convert 907' to ¡C (1) 90 - 32 = 58; (2) 58 6 = 64; (3) 64 + 2 = 32%
