One concludes that the assumptions made in interpreting the effmion data were reasonable and the method is suilable for deriving equilibrium data for this particular decomposition reaction in spite of the kinetic problems. With the choice of free energy functions selected in the present work or,e calculates AS"298 = 43.0 eu for (I), which givtia 7.8 eu for the difference between the standard entropies of CuBrz(s) and CuBr(s) at 298°K.
