Commercial Picosecond Dye Lasers Available Two new commercial pulsed dye laser systems are now available from Spectra-Physics. Both the Synchronously Pumped Mode Locked Dye Laser and the Synchronously Pumped, Cavity Dumped Dye Laser are capable of producing a continuous train of tunable picosecond pulses for sustained periods of time without readjustment. System Components The Spectra-Physics pulsed dye laser system components were designed in modular form to permit conversion between the synchronously-pumpedonly and the cavity-dumped configurations. Each building block was carefully designed to meet the stringent stability requirement of synchronous pumping.
