WESCAN Models 250 and 251 Cloud Point instruments provide automatic, objective measurement of the cloud-point temperature of petroleum oils, waxes and resins. In fact they can be adapted to determine phase-separation temperatures of most liquid systems between - 1 0 0 ° C and + 130°C. years, as science courses become more advanced, students also are given larger doses of management, accounting, statistics, finance, and the like. By the senior year a student elects all courses from either advanced science or management lists. Science électives must be selected in two equal groups from biology, chemistry, mathematics, or physics. Included in the degree is a required senior project of onor off-campus work in some form of science administration. The complete science administration degree requires a minimum of 125 credit hours. This mix of courses, Gottlieb expects, will prepare a student adequately for such jobs as administrator of government laboratories, purchasing agent for a chemical or pharmaceutical firm, administrator of a clinical laboratory, chemical or phar-
maceutical sales, or an administrative position with a federal or state regulatory agency. More specifically, college officials believe that the Widener degree will, for example, enable a student who goes to work for a chemical company to evaluate a new product on its scientific or technical merits and then decide how it should be packaged and marketed. In most businesses this type of job is called product management. Although college officials concede that most students entering the science administration program will do so because of employment possibilities once they graduate, the new degree need not be a terminal one. Students who complete the degree still will have the option of graduate study in either management or science. D

Stadium moves on polyurethane For optimum viewing, different sports require different seating arrangements. That's just what Aloha Stadium (left) in Honolulu has been providing in its first year of operation. Four sections of the stadium, each containing 7000 seats, can be moved as much as 200 feet to position them for tennis, soccer, boxing, and theater productions, as well as for football and baseball. Aiding in the moving of each 3.5 million lb section are 26 transporters (such as that above), containing air bearings made of B. F. Goodrich Chemical thermoplastic polyurethane. Designed and built by Rolair Systems Inc., Santa Barbara, Calif., each transporter contains four 44-inch X 68-inch air bearings that first lift the stadium sections about an inch, then slowly bleed compressed air around the perimeter, providing a thin film of air as a lubricant to eliminate friction. Each section then is moved by a lightweight hydraulic system along a rail.
