Correction Studies of Protein Binding to Nonpolar Solutes by Using Zonal Elution and High-Performance Affinity Chromatography: Interactions of cis- and trans-Clomiphene with Human Serum Albumin in the Presence of β-Cyclodextrin David S. Hage* and Arundhati Sengupta (Anal. Chem. 1998, 70, 4602-4609).

An error occurs in eq 5. The correct version is as follows, where kA′ is the retention factor for the injected analyte.

1 + KASCS (1 + KASCS)KILCI 1 ) + kA′ KALCL (1 + KISCS)KALCL

(5)

This correction has no effect on eq 6, nor does it affect any of the association equilibrium constants measured in this paper. A second error occurs on page 4608 in the size of the association equilibrium constants reported for cis- and transclomiphene with β-cyclodextrin. The correct values are 3.0 (( 0.5) × 103 and 4.6 (( 0.5) × 103 M-1 for cis-clomiphene with β-cyclodextrin, and 0.3 (( 0.1) × 103 and 0.6 (( 0.1) × 103 M-1 for trans-clomiphene with β-cyclodextrin. These changes also have no effect on other results reported in this paper. AC048833L 10.1021/ac048833l Published on Web 08/24/2004
