As part of our quality testing, the C.S.M.A. F mîng TeSt M S E S ' » " ? Î ? H ? Average detergency ratings differing by ± 0 . 2 or greater are considered significant. Rotor speeds are also important in evaluating low foaming since they are governed by foam heights. T h e

higher the rotor speed — the lower the foaming. From these results, formulated LF-7, LF-6 and Commercial Formula No. 1 are rated superior low foaming detergents. Formulated LF-5 and Commercial Formula No. 2 exhibit moderate foam and fair detergency, and Commercial For mulas No. 3 and No. 4 are relatively high foamers with lower detergency. The low foam and good surface properties of the SURFONIC LF series makes them useful in metal cleaning, textiles, paper, rinse aids, low foaming heavy-duty and all-purpose detergents.
