Barnstead Glass Still

IT'S WORTH LOOKING INTO Here's a reliable, troublefree source of high purity distilled water—in a compact fully automatic package that makes sense for the modern laboratory. Check this unbeatable combination of features: High Purity. Barnstead borosilicate glass stills produce sterile, pyrogen-free distillate with a specific resistance in excess of 2 megohmscm (@ 25°C) depending upon feedwater quality. Total solids is typically as low as 0.1 mg/liter with S i 0 2 content less than 5 ppb. Fully Automatic. A built-in distillate level monitor plus fail-safe low water protection enable continuous unattended operation with complete confidence. And since all controls are part of the still itself, you don't need a variety of expensive accessories for automatic operation.

Easy to Maintain. These stills are designed so you know when to clean them . . . and they're built so you won't have to as often. The attractive acrylic safety cover lets you see the condition of the still at all times. A unique deconcentrator continuously removes scale-forming impurities to significantly reduce the need for cleaning. When periodic cleaning is required, you don't have to disassemble the still—a simple push button drain control makes the job quick and easy. Exceptionally Compact. Barnstead glass stills occupy only about 1/4th the space of other glass still systems. They blend nicely into the decor of any laboratory and can be conveniently bench or wall mounted.

Barnstead glass stills are available in single or double distilling modes; in output capacities of 4 or 8 liters per hour; and with a range of accessories including storage reservoirs, pretreatment kits and post-treatment polishing equipment. All models are CSA approved and are designed to meet OSHA requirements. The glass still of the future is here today, available off-the-shelf from your laboratory supply distributor.
