Figure S2. DTG curve for eggshell treated for 30 minutes with 1 M acetic acid solution. The reaction temperature is heated from ambient conditions to 700°C at 50°C/min. The curve shows a large peak as the eggshell is calcined to CaO. At 30 minutes, carbonation begins with the introduction of 10% CO2 in N2. After 60 minutes, the gas is switched to pure N2, triggering calcination of the CaCO3 produced in cycle 1.
