The equation for determining the binding constants K11 and K21 in the systems involving complexation of complex with metal ion in both 1:1 and 2:1 complexation stoichiometry was revised in our recent publication.1 From the fitting of the revised equation, the binding constants of [Pt(trpy)(CtC-benzo-15-crown-5)]PF6 (6) with K+ in 1:1 and 2:1 stoichiometries were obtained and log K11 and log K21 values are found to be 1.56 and 2.91, respectively. In view of the slight changes of these values, which are in the same order of magnitude with the previous values, both the discussions and conclusion remain unchanged and are therefore retained.
