129 137-143°C. 1- (Varnish) Insoluble in water. Water is soluble in t-oetvlamine — 3 5 % by weight (2° C ) , 7 % by weight (85° C.) Commercial quantities
REACTIONS — These amines have normal basic strength and undergo the usual reactions for primary amines. Reactivity is somewhat modified by steric hindrance. Reactions ivith aliphatic aldehydes^ to give stable, monomeric aldimines^ and xoith cyanogen chloride to give stable t-alhyl cyanamides are unique.
