ALLIED'S OXIME CHEMISTRY.. SEAUNG IN THE SUCCESS OF TOMORROW'S PRODUCTS Until recently, producers of silicone sealants faced a series of obstacles in meeting end-user needs. The chemicals used as the base for curing agents in these sealants produced an unpleasant odor and generated by-products corrosive to metal substrates. Allied, through a novel chemical process, now offers a new product, methyl oximino silane (MOS), which enables silicone sealant producers to eliminate these obstacles. MOS can be used as a direct replacement in silicone formulations and delivers fast cure times, colorability and compatibility with a wide variety of substrates. Silicone producers now find the door open to a broad range of new sealant applications. But Allied's oximes research doesn't stop here. We've already begun substantial efforts to meet the performance demands of new silicone sealants by developing an even broader range of products. These include vinyl oximino silane, methyl-vinyl oximino silane and tetra-functional oximino silane. And as customer needs dictate, Allied will continue to expand the ever growing family of oxime products. Today, more and more pharmaceutical, agricultural and other specialty chemical manufacturers are drawing upon Allied's oxime expertise as a faster, cost-effective route to k 0 ^ ^ ^ _ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ K ^ _ ^^8^K^^^^^^ISI building complex intermediate molecules.
