PROTEOMICS EXPERT RENÃ ROBINSON was promoted to associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh, and this month, she moved her research laboratory to Vanderbilt University. ▶
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN CHEMIST ALISON NARAYAN tells us her group recently submitted its first manuscript for publication and had another reason to break out the bubbly: “My first class of students went four for four, all passing their candidacy exams with flying colors.”

▲ FOOD CHEMIST LILI HE will receive the University of Massachusetts convocation award, and her research graced the cover of the November 2016 issue of the Journal of Food Science.
