on sour crudes! The less money you must invest in corrosion protection, the sooner you can cash in on the lower price of high-sulfur crudes. In the case of T C C , the cost is very l o w . A recent T C C proposal shows only 8 % additional capital required to provide corrosion protection for the entire catalytic unit. With the existing price differential in favor of West Texas over sweet crudes, that investment w i l l be recovered within the first three months of operation. From then on the saving is all velvet.
