TECHNOLOGY MILESTONES A s the Presidents of the American Chemical Society in 2000 and in 2001, Dr. Daryle H. Busch and Dr. Attila E. Pavlath want your help t o enhance the public image of chemistry. In 2001, the ACS will honor its 125th anniversary and a new century. This special opportunity will allow us t o highlight the major technological breakthroughs in chemistry and chemical engineering that have improved the quality of life through the last 125 years.

Celebrate the importance of chemistry t o our lives Our Technology Milestones project will highlight the role of chemical science in society's remarkable progress since 1876. Educational materials for the general public and a Fall 2001 event will increase public awareness of chemistry's role in developing the innovative technologies that have improved our modern world.
