Hydrophilicity is a unique characteristic of Texaco Chemical's JEFFAMINE ED-600, ED-900, ED-2001,ED-4000,and ED-6000 poly(oxyethylene) diamines. These versatile, water-soluble compounds are also antistatic, and have high total and primary amine contents and low color. Condensed with diacids and diesters, JEFFAMINE ED products produce polyamides for
use in polyester or nylon fibers with improved antistatic and water absorption qualities. In addition, they are useful starting materials in the synthesis of durable antistatic agents, and function as epoxy curing agents.
