CREATING YOUR WEB LOGIN ID FOR THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF CHEMISTRY TEACHERS (AACT) Thank you for being a valued member of the American Association of Chemistry Teachers (AACT)! As a member you are entitled to certain benefits, including access to member-only content on the AACT website. In order to access this content, you must create a web login ID, known as an “ACS ID. “ The term “ACS ID” takes its name from our parent organization, the American Chemical Society. You have the option to create your ID during registration, or you may create it by following these three steps outlined below.

1. Visit teachchemistry.org, and click "Log In" in the upper right-hand corner above the search bar. You'll be taken to a new webpage.

2. In the lower left-hand side of this new page click the blue button "Create an ACS ID.”

3. Complete all required fields on the ACS ID creation form, and click “Create an account.” o Be sure to enter the same email address in the ACS ID creation form as the one you used for AACT registration. o The “Member Number” field is not required, but useful information to include.
