The art off joining metals has come a long way since 1087 Now there are new Palladium-containing brazing alloys offering exceptional combinations of properties for metal-to-metal joining at temperatures as high as 2 2 6 0 ° F .

As new and better metals open the way to new and more challenging application areas, design and development engineers are faced with the problem of joining them. Today, more and more designers are finding the answer in brazing alloys containing Palladium. Palladium-containing brazing alloys are available with melting points from 1490°F to 2260°E The numerous alloys within this temperature range permit selection for step brazing. They also facilitate the matching of brazing temperatures with that required to heat treat the base metal. Where wetting of the base is a problem, Palladium-containing brazing alloys pay off with excellent wettability and good fillets. Additional important features are minimum base erosion, high temperature strength, good ductility and low vapor pressure. Some of the available Palladium-containing brazing alloys are:

P a l l a d i u m - c o n t a i n i n g brazing alloys effectively join a w i d e r a n g e of metals including:

• • • • • • • • •

Copper Steel Nickel Molybdenum and tungsten Nickel base alloys Cobalt base alloys Austenitic stainless steels Ferritic stainless steels Precipitation hardening high temperature alloys

These brazing alloys are finding use today in electronics, atomic energy, rocketry, space applications, airframe construction and similar fields. Ineo does not market these alloys but has developed considerable data on their characteristics and applications. Write for a copy of "New Era Brazing Turns to Filler Metals with Palladium"
