The Beetle plastic composition, produced by American Cyanamid Co. and molded by Mack Molding Co., ensures exact reproduction of original, flexibility of design, and even reflection. Upper right. The Hays Corp.'s Orsatomat, molded by Modern Plastics Corp. with dies from Victor Tool Co. Investigators may watch process through its du Pont Lucite walls. Right. Transparent valve, replica of A. W. Cash Co.'s metal reducing valve, permits vision of working parts. The designer, Dave Sedlow, fashioned it from Rohm & Haas Co.'s Plexiglas. Many other plastic articles won honors in divisions of the competition.
