solubilities of the phosphate and the arsenate are of the same order of magnitude. The ratio of the solubilities of both salts reported by Wenger, however, fluctuated in an irregular way, with the composition of the medium. SUMMARY

The distribution coefficient

has been determined a t 2 5 T . Over a range of mole per cents of 1 to 60 of arsenate in the solid phase, D was found constant and equal to 5.65 d= 0.2. REFERENCES
