changed in its water solubility. KObackbone sharpening of the x-ray diffraction pattern of such a sample can be noticed, nor does such sharpening become visible upon subsequent heating. 4. X-ray irradiation of dried pseudoglobulin does not bring forth characteristic changes in the x-ray diffraction pattern, although a partial absorption’of the radiation by protein and induced cleavage of the latter has been ascertained.
