following mixture was made up and analyzed by t h e method described under the above head. 0.5 gram were taken for analysis. 1.0 gram potassiuni bitartrate I .o gram calcium tartrate 0.5 gram alum 1.0 gram phosphate tartar substitute This mixture contains 32.9 per cent. tartaric acid. Amount found : 33.4 per cent. tartaric acid.
