The Journal of Organic Chemistry Global Enterprise Intellectual curiosity knows no borders, and as a result, science has always been a global enterprise. Of course, the field of organic chemistry also reflects this truly international flavor. Accordingly, The Journal of Organic Chemistry is superbly positioned to celebrate this type of diversity. As an example, we present a JOC Virtual Issue featuring the most-read manuscripts that hail from the top 25 countries out of the 51 countries represented in the journal in 2018. As with most of the ACS Publications journals, and in particular those with a history reaching back well into the middle of the 20th century (JOC was founded in 1936), contributors to JOC have become increasingly diverse. As a result, it has been a priority for JOC to evolve its stewardship as well. The journal is presently the benefactor of a team of Associate Editors that represent six different home countries around the world, and we continuously benefit from the advice of an Editorial Advisory Board that also has members from additional countries. The broad membership of the editorial team is one way we are currently striving to ensure that the journal represents the best of the field, with ideas and advances emerging from all over the globe.
