Kimberlee Daus Kimberlee Daus received her B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Although she has served in a variety of roles since coming to Belmont University, including Assistant Director of General Education, Teaching Center Director, and Associate Dean, Kim’s passion is teaching. Some of her favorite classes include Better Eating through Chemistry and Your Brain on Drugs: The Chemistry of Drugs and Addiction. She is an avid adopter of activebased learning and was the 2014 recipient of Belmont’s teaching award. Her son, Pete, and daughter, Rebecca, continue to provide inspiration and support.

Rachel Rigsby Rachel Rigsby received a B.A. in Chemistry from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University in 2005. She is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She currently serves as the University Learning Communities Course Coordinator and has taught a variety of chemistry Learning Community courses. She enjoys teaching organic and biochemistry and serving on the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Academy of Science as Managing Editor of the Journal of the Tennessee Academy of Science.
